Hi there! You've stumbled upon Not Today!
A few things that I'd love for you to know.
The major houses are all up for claim. You may simply create a character to lead them, or just begin making a member of the house. If you play a lord for a house, please make clear what you wish for your character's family, so that everyone can get a piece. These characters do not have to be canon, at all {Actually, we'd prefer they weren't}! Member-wise, we ask that you only take one major house, so that everyone gets a chance!
The minor houses, there are going to be one of for each noble house for the time being. You may choose any name for the house that you wish, but please PM Stern with which castle they will be occupying, and who they pay fealty to.
As for the king... Our dead king. Since the site is just starting, we will not be 'replacing' him right away. Once there are a good number of members, the plot can continue on, and we'll be starting with the actual process of finding a new king... For now, feel free to have your characters consider their position on the issue.
Also, just a note. While I only spoke of Houses in this so far, please, you do not have to make one of them! Make a seamstress, make an inn-keep, make whoever you would like, because they're just as important to us!
