Culture : House Stark was founded by Brandon the Builder, a semi-mythical figure who is credited with building the Wall and Winterfell. The family has survived for over 8,000 years and was the independent royal house of the vast territories of the North until the Seven Kingdoms were united. It tends to be stand-off-ish, with its various bannermen all loyal to Stark, rather than the Iron Throne.
